Yellowman and the Sagittarius Band
King Yellowman has an incredible history in reggae music. His upbringing at the Maxfield Home Orphanage in Kingston and being albino in Jamaica were two obstacles the he overcame and went on to be (at one time) the biggest reggae artist since Bob Marley. The Sagittarius Band has been the driving force behind Yellowman shows for years. These veterans of reggae music are exceptionally talented musicians and have traveled internationally with the king offering a performance that will make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. Many thanks Sagittarius for making it all possible and bringing your beautiful gift of music to us all.
Two Time Grammy Award Winner “MICHAEL ROSE” of Black Uhuru Fame
Most popular front man of Reggae outfit Black Uhuru who won Reggae's first Grammy Award in 1984 for the Album "Anthem". Michael Rose (born 11 July 1957) is a Grammy award winning reggae singer from Jamaica. Possessing a wide-ranged voice, Rose would regularly meet in Kingston with singers, musicians, writers, and producers such as Dennis Brown, Big Youth, The Wailers, Gregory Isaacs, Sly and Robbie, and others
Bushman
Superb new Album .."Tribute to PETER TOSH "... Feb. 1st. 2011 release date on VP Records. Bushman with his natural talent for singing, is an outstanding artist carved from the same iritical musical tradition as Bob Marley, Dennis Brown and Luciano (with whom he has a very close relationship), who he quotes as being his most dominant influences. With his dynamic lyrics, Superb showmanship and classic performances, the Rastafarian known as Bushman is an artist with which to hold a joy with, and a force to be reckoned with.
The Skatalites
Nearly four decades after the Skatalites formation: From the start, The Skatalites changed Jamaican music forever. The creation of ska -the father of rocksteady, the grandfather of reggae -gave us eternal rhythms that now infiltrate the globe. "The Skatalites: Jamaica's answer to the Motown house band and Booker T. and the MG's combined" - Rolling Stone
The Itals
One of the few remaining legendary Harmony Trios that came out of Jamaica back in the 80's.The Itals are a Jamaican reggae vocal group formed in 1976 by Alvin "Keith" Porter, Ronnie Davis, and Lloyd Ricketts (the latter two formerly of The Tennors all of whom had previously also recorded as solo artists. All three had worked together in the late 1960s in The Westmorelites. The group recorded several albums through the late 1970s and 1980s, with Ronnie Davis going on to a successful solo career. Their debut single, "In A Disya Time", is regarded as the group's finest work, and topped the Jamaican chart. 1987's Rasta Philosophy was nominated for a Grammy Award as Best Reggae Album
